• Account information: Name, email address, and organization details you provide when signing up.
• Usage data: Proposals created, templates used, AI generations consumed, and feature interactions.
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We never store raw card numbers.
• Proposal content: Text, client names, pricing, and other data you enter to generate proposals. This content is used solely to provide the service.
• Technical data: IP addresses, browser type, device info, and usage logs for security and performance.
• Proposal analytics: When you share a proposal with a client, we record view counts, time spent, and device type so you can track engagement.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the ClientBrief AI platform
• Generate AI-powered proposals and reports using your provided context
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (proposals, follow-ups, receipts)
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your proposal content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following sub-processors to deliver the service:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Anthropic / OpenAI — AI content generation (your content is subject to their data usage policies)
• Neon / Vercel — Hosting and database infrastructure
• Resend — Transactional email delivery

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data is retained for 90 days and then deleted, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
